I’m so sorry (AGAIN!!) that it has been so long since I have written a post. I have been what can only be described as hiding.
I have been so busy trying to sort everyone else’s lives out that I have completely forgotten to look after myself and remember that I also deserve to be looked after. 2017 has not at all been the year I had hoped it would be. By now, I had envisaged being at my target weight, back at work and married. None of those things have happened. Instead, I am heavier than I have ever been (excluding pregnancy) and still in the same situation with work and my relationship. I’m not going to go into detail regarding my relationship, because as you well know if you’ve ever been in one, they’re hard enough without external influences!
Now onto the subject of work…
I have been busy squirrelling away working on building up both my baking business Laura’s Bakery and my newest venture, being a Younique presenter. I made the conscious decision to amalgamate Mind Mood Mommy with Laura’s Bakery and my new Younique venture to create one big venture called Glamdust Mama!
You might be wondering what on earth made me decide to become a part of an MLM (Multi Level Marketing) company. Surely they’re all monsters who are only interested in making you bankrupt and getting their claws into idiotic saps who ought to know better? Well? No. I can’t speak on behalf of other MLM companies as I haven’t (and don’t intend to) work for or with them. Younique for me, is exactly that, unique.
Firstly, their products actually do what they say they’re going to do (for me at least). I love the fact that I can do a Facebook Live and talk about a product I love whilst watching the reactions of the disbelievers that sometimes watch.
Secondly, their payment system is fair and fast! Instead of having to wait until the end of a month for a pay day, Younique pay you within three hours of a purchase having been made. I’d defy anyone to argue with being paid three hours after completing a job!
Finally, I love what Younique stand for. Their tagline is Uplift, Empower, Validate. This was a company set up to help women find their confidence via the medium of selling makeup. A simple, yet effective business plan. They also have The Younique Foundation which is a charity set up to help women who have been victims of sexual abuse in childhood or adolescence. I have found that since joining Younique, despite the fact that I am not at my ideal weight yet, my confidence has grown immensely and I am beginning to feel like I am worth something again.
I hope you’ll join me on my Younique journey and that you enjoy some of the looks and posts I’ll be creating.
