For years I have been a firm believer that music can alter your mood. It takes just one song to do it and for me, it can affect my entire day. There has been quite a bit of press about it lately too, mainly in the medical field where the effects of music can help Alzheimer’s sufferers.
In keeping with my New Beginnings post, I thought I’d share a small snippet of the music that has spurred me on and motivated me throughout the years. I have quite a diverse taste in music, so please don’t be too alarmed at some of the songs!
Linkin Park~ Breaking The Habit
LeAnn Rimes~ Life Goes On
Rachel Platten~ Fight Song
Michael Jackson~ Man In The Mirror
Savage Garden~ Crash & Burn
Savage Garden~ You Can Still Be Free
Gloria Gaynor~ I Will Survive (cliché to the max, I know, but still a goodie!)
Christina Aguilera~ The Voice Within
Swedish House Mafia~ Don’t You Worry Child
Fleetwood Mac~ Go Your Own Way
Celine Dion~ That’s The Way It Is
Lebo~ He Lives In You
Elton John~ I’m Still Standing
Queen~ The Show Must Go On
The Script~ Superheroes
I could go on and on. These are the songs that spring to mind as ones that get me out of a specific mind-set and into a more positive one.
Do you have a certain song that gives you an imaginary kick up the backside? I’d love to hear what helps you get through a tough time.
